These terms apply to Knowledge Locker software and services. Additional written terms presented for a particular product or organization apply as well; if they conflict with these terms, the more specific written terms control.

Using our software

Knowledge Locker grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use software you lawfully obtain from us. You may use it for lawful personal or business purposes, but you may not sell, sublicense, share, or redistribute the software or access supplied through your account. You may not bypass access controls, use the software to harm others, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits that activity.

You are responsible for how you use our products, including any decisions, changes, access, or actions made with their help.

Direct-distribution purchases

A direct purchase is a one-time license, not a subscription, unless Checkout clearly says otherwise. The license belongs to the individual Community account that completed the purchase. That individual may install and use the purchased software on up to five Macs on which they use the same account. Replacing a Mac is allowed as long as no more than five Macs are in use at one time.

The five-Mac limit is an honor-system license term. Knowledge Locker does not continuously call home, count Macs, or remotely inspect the devices on which the software is installed. You remain responsible for staying within the license.

Updates and compatibility

Your direct purchase includes eligible updates within the same major version you purchased—for example, a 1.x license includes eligible 1.x releases. A new major version, such as 2.0, may require a separate purchase. We do not promise a particular update schedule, feature, or period of compatibility with future macOS releases.

Payments, taxes, and refunds

Stripe processes direct-purchase payments. Prices are shown before payment, and applicable taxes may be calculated and added during Checkout. Knowledge Locker does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

You may request a full refund within 30 days after a direct purchase by opening a private Support request from your Community account. Approved refunds return to the original payment method. A full refund ends the associated license and access to later downloads. Partial refunds are not normally offered unless required by law or agreed by Knowledge Locker. Nothing in this policy limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

Availability and warranties

Knowledge Locker products are provided as-is, without express or implied warranties. We do not promise that every product will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every use.

To the extent permitted by law, Knowledge Locker is not responsible for loss, damage, or other consequences resulting from your use of the products.

Agreement

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using a Knowledge Locker product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase, download, install, or use the product.
